Golf school is top Pawleys attraction The Phil Ritson-Mel Sole Golf School at Pawleys Plantation hit the top spot among Pawleys Island attractions on Trip Advisor last month. With 28 reviews, it still leads the list of 16 attractions. It has been in the Golf magazine list of 25 top golf schools in the U.S. for the last 10 years. BB&T promotes financial advisor Chris Clark of Pawleys Island was promoted to private financial advisor at BB&T. He had been a business services advisor for Myrtle Beach. He joined BB&T through its 2007 merger with Coastal Federal. Clark heads the finance committee at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church and is a past president of the Pawleys Island-Litchfield Business Association. Lakes at Litchfield wins award Senior Living Communities gave a Supernova award to the Lakes at Litchfield at the company's annual meeting. It operates 12 retirement communities in the Southeast and Midwest. "We are inspired by our members, and determined to help them live longer, healthier, happier lives through exceptional service," said Jacque Richardson, executive director at the Lakes. Community manager earns certification Darla Spillane, the community manager at Heritage Plantation, has earned her certified manager of community associations credential from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers. She works for Chicora Association Managment.
