Planning Commission: No quorum, no meeting. Rezoning will wait

A meeting of the Georgetown County Planning Commission scheduled for tonight has been canceled due to lack of a quorum.

The seven-member committee is down one member and its vice-chair, Glenda Shoulette, was unexpectedly called out of town for a family emergency. The chairman, Brian Henry, is out of town on vacation and another member was unable to attend due to a work conflict.

The agenda included a review of a “planned development” on Boyle Drive and plans to let the zoning lapse back to “neighborhood commercial” as there has been no activity on the development in two years. The potential zoning change has raised objections from some North Litchfield residents.
