Nonprofits: Teams simmering for Souper Bowl XIV Time is running out to get advance tickets for Saturday’s Habitat for Humanity Souper Bowl. There are 40 chefs cooking up soups, stews, bisques, chowders and gumbos for this year's event. The proceeds of this year’s event will help complete the 90th Habitat home which celebrates the Georgetown County chapter’s 20th anniversary. It begins Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. It runs until 7:30 p.m., but Souper Bowlers come early to get the best selection of hand-crafted bowls and soups. Tickets are $25 in advance at SCBT bank branches in Murrells Inlet, Georgetown and Myrtle Beach; The Chocolate and Coffee House at Litchfield Exchange; Greenskeeper Florist in Pawleys Island; Applewood House of Pancakes in Litchfield; and Litchfield Books.
