School board will take up pay raises Georgetown County School District employees could see bigger paychecks in October if the school board adopts a proposal from the district administration next week. The plan calls for all eligible employees move up one step on the pay scale. For custodians, cafeteria workers and bus drivers, there would be a 2 percent increase. Superintendent Randy Dozier said earlier this month he expected the raises to average 2 percent. If approved, it will be the first increase for the 1,400 district employees in three years. The raises would show up in paychecks Oct. 14. The school board meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Beck Administration Center in Georgetown.
