Stories from the storm
Hurricane Hugo made landfall the night of Sept. 21-22, 1989. It remains the most significant storm to hit the Waccamaw Neck in a generation.
We would like to hear from people who remember the storm. What was the worst; what was the best? What has stayed vivid in your memory 25 years later? What did you learn that helped you prepare for the next storm?
We hope to collect enough stories like yours to run in an article in print and online.
Please include your name, address and a daytime phone number so we can follow up with any questions.
