Education: Waccamaw schools get Excellent grades on state report cardsThe four Waccamaw schools all received overall grades of Excellent on the state’s annual report cards, which were issued today. Three schools rated Excellent in progress toward the state’s 2020 education goals despite not meeting federal goals for “adequate yearly progress.” The one school that met the federal goals, Waccamaw Elementary, rates Good in progress toward the state goals. Litchfield Plantation: Developer asks court to protect its control of POA at annual meetingThe developer of Litchfield Plantation wants a judge to bar any action to limit its control of the property owners association when that group holds its annual meeting next week, according to documents filed in Circuit Court this week.
